History:
Hunab Ku is a Mayan god, regarded as the father of all, because he was recognized as the only true living god. He was considered the God of creation, for it was through him that the universe was created and all living things were born. In the Mayan religion, Hunab Ku was very important, as he was considered the heart that coordinated the whole universe. It was the source of energy that linked all living beings and transmitted the information of everything. Similarly, the Mayans believed that this god manifested himself through waves that could be light, sound, energy, thought and love.
Meaning:
The Maya created the Hunab Ku symbol, consisting of a circle and a square similar to Pythagorean structures. The symbol represents the Mayan concept that the universe is made up of four elements: earth, air, water and fire. The Hunab Ku symbol represents cosmic knowledge, and both Earth and Man are part of this knowledge. The Mayans prized this god for divine protection and good luck.
